There were workshops such as drafting legal advice, some of which included group discussions with other students. There were also presentations delivered by industry professionals on topics like employment law, contract law and commercial awareness.
Client communication, critical thinking, commercial awareness
I found it very enjoyable as there were a wide range of topics covered and I found it more interactive than other work experiences I have done previously
I found it useful that each presenter started the session by introducing themselves and their role in the company and how they had got to that place; we were also able to ask questions about their experiences working in the firm which gave me a good idea about the company culture.
I am now definitely following a legal career path and would like to be a solicitor working on litigation
Yes
This work experience was very interactive, both with other students and the trainees who presented in the sessions. I particularly enjoyed the group tasks, where I was able to express my own point of view on a legal case and adapt my thinking after hearing others' suggestions.
