  • Apprentice Civil Engineer with the structures team. My main role is as a Design Engineer - producing design drawings and managing projects.

  • Yes, I was new to Civil Engineering when I started my role and have learnt a huge amount from my colleagues and company. Including but not limited to - improving my problem solving skills and communication skills.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my programme a lot. The work is varied with a good balance between site and office design work. I work in a fantastic team who make the time to teach me a lot and allow me to be independent.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The company have a great structure and provide me with a lot of training. However, the college has made mistakes in my programming my course - although they have made the effort to rectify this.

  • A lot of support - I am provided a lot of training and the HR team have always been able to help me with any questions.

  • The college can be better in providing support.

  • The course has given me a good foundation to build upon.

  • Yes, school visits to promote the contract.

  • Yes

  • They look after their employees, have a good business ethic and the work is very interesting.

  • Take the time to learn from your colleagues, put the effort in and it will be recognised.
