As a library assistant I would ensure customer service to stakeholders while circulating stock, with preservation and maintenance practices. I would also facilitate the literacy testing programme and analyse the data.
I've learned a lot of new skills and developed other existing skills in terms of digital tool use and catalogueuing practices. I've also learned how to resource a library through buying in stock from suppliers.
I found the development of relevant skills to my career enjoyable and it has brought a sense of competency which I also enjoy.
The structure is logical and generally well organised in my view.
I felt appropriately supported at work by my employer through the process of studying for this apprenticeship.
Individual tutors have given a high level of support, although my tutor has changed several times throughout
Unquestionably I am a better library assistant as a result of the qualification.
There are enrichment activities and other extra curricular options available at my workplace.
