My role as an apprentice nursery practitioner is to ensure children are given the best start in life through their first five years. I am there to comfort the children, teach them the basics and form a strong bond with them in order for them to trust us to help them grow into wonderful people.
From starting my level two apprenticeship with realise, I have learned so so much about the childcare sector. I have developed lots of skills such as patience, better punctuality and I have learned how to look after children and teach them things they should know before going to big school!
I really enjoy my programme at realise training. My tutor is there to help whenever I need help and I am left to do my work in my own time and I'm not rushed I can take my time and use the Internet for help etc it is great.
It is very well organised at realise training, I have a meeting every month where I get set work for the following month. Each month is a different topic so has lots of different things to learn about and then I do scorecards to check my progress and make sure I am improving.
My employer gives me lots of support, if I need help there are lots of people to help me especially those who have completed this apprenticeship that I am doing, and I am given time out of the room to complete work on the computer and in the staff room.
I get alot of support from realise training, If I have any issued I can ask them and I get a response pretty much straight away. Any help needed with my work, my tutor helps me in a way where I can still work it out for myself too. It is very helpful.
I feel it is so beneficial as everything I learn through the provider, realise, I am using in my every day job. Things I don't realise I am doing but have learned and are actually using it. I have better knowledge about childcare in early years and it helps as I know so much more.
From what I am aware, I don't think there are any extra curricular activities to get involved in, however I know there are some professional webinars that we watch and learn alot from but sports wise, I don't think there are any. It would be great if there was as it would be so good for team building.
Yes
Realise training have been really good! They help whenever it is needed, and they are very laid back so I can do work when it best suits obviously as long as it is in by the due date. I prefer this as I don't like having a set time to do work I like to do it bit by bit to sink the information in.
Just got for it! They've always been great with me and I know they would with everyone else. It is a very relaxed training programme and is organise and done so well. If you want to work in child care, then realise training is the one you should apply for!
