  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Processing and fullfiling xustomer orders, processing enquireies and requests. Following up with aftersales requests if necessarry. Ordering in stock to fuflfil orders, organizing deliveries to sites. Making sure stock coes in for the customers, letting customers know if any issues with stock coming from suppliers, running out of distribution etc.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • During my apprenticeship I didlearn quite a lot. Running and planning meetings, writing and fullfilling projects, planning travel, how to manage and support team etc. Most of these things are not a part of my daily role, however will help me with my future as I will have a lot more opportunities to grow within the company.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoyed my appreniseship quite a lot. As mentioned before I gained a lot of new knowlege, not only to apply to my current role but to open opprotuniteies for my future carrer goals/choices. I am very grateful that I have had a chance to go trough this programme.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The structurw was okay, in my opinion. My appreniceship coaches were a great support and help all troughout the process and aupported me whenever I needeed it. I also enjoyed that the structure is not set in stone and we were able to adjust it depending on my current workload and responsibilities at the time.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I had very good guidance from my line manager. I was given time to finish any tasks that were required and support in any queries that I had regarding my apprenticeship. I also had a chance of training my team in some processes and gain feedback from them which was great experience.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My appreniceship coaches were a great support and help all troughout the process and aupported me whenever I needeed it. They also supported any changes in pace or order of the course depending on what my duties/responsibilties were applied to my current role and helped to integrate a lot of the apprenticeship with my direct duties.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Wolseley UK to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I have worked for Wolseley for 3 years now and during that time I've had a few mental health crisies which weren't work related, however my team and line manager were very supportive and helped me get trough my hurdles.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Wolseley UK?
  • Be prepared to learn fast as the work can be very fast paced. Do not be afraid to ask for help - there are no dumb questions, we are are learning ona day to day basis even after being in company for years. The company cares about their employees.
