Day to day i undertake tasks such as helping with payroll, weekly reporting, solving and fixing technical issues across our companies network. I also do bits of marketing here and there for our social media pages and setting up new users that start working for the business ( this is for every branch that we have)
I have learnt how to present myself in a professional manor (in person and via phone and email). I have developed my skills using applications such as excel, word and publisher. I have developed my confidence when speaking to people and have also gained more knowledge about adult working life
I thoroughly enjoy the programme I have been placed on. It was something i always wanted to do when i left school as it has provided me with skills that i can take to any job that i get in the future. I feel as though the programme has not only provided me with my qualification but has made me an all round more knowledgable person
I think my programme is very organised. The online work portal that we use is very good as it sends you reminders as to when your work is due and includes lots of resources for if you want to further your qualification and/or develop your English and maths skills
I receive quite a lot of support from my employer. I have allocated time during the week in my schedule to complete my coursework and have meetings with my personal tutor. They are very supportive and informative when i have questions about the business and the back office side of things (e.g. payroll)
I have fortnightly meetings with my tutor to discuss my work and how i am progressing. This has proved very helpful as i can use that time to ask questions. My tutor is very informative about all of the topics that we cover and is always there for me whether its through text, call or a meeting
I feel my qualification helps in my role as it has helped me to become more knowledgeable in various areas. For example it has helped understand laws and legislations that companies must follow. It has also helped me to understand my job role a lot better an d shows me how i should be working
Yes
Its a great and friendly place to work. everyone gets on with each other and there is never any issues between colleagues. Its a nice office with flexible working times (as long as you work your 8 hours) and a relaxed dress code. They have done well to make the office more bright by adding a break out area. The managers are really supportive and nice
Just be friendly, everyone is here to help everyone. A good sense of humour would be a positive as well. Its perfect for people that have experience in recruitment or people that are just starting out and want a career change. A positive attitude would be a bonus as this would bring up team moral
