I very much enjoyed my work experience. The tasks were insightful and engaging and the platform it was hosted on (Forage) was easy to use. There was a good balance between listening to speakers and completing tasks for myself.
It was very well organised. All information was on the platform Forage, where you could easily access the schedule for the week, the tasks that needed to be completing, and a chat function to talk to other participants. The sessions took place on Microsoft Teams, which was easy to use.
I learnt a lot. There were many sessions specifically focused on this, such as 'a day in the life of a solicitor' and how Pinsent Masons is a responsible business. Every member of staff I met gave an introduction about their role and experience of the firm.
I already knew I wanted to become a solicitor but this helped confirm it for me. It was very aspirational.
No I was not.
Yes, I had 2 sessions in the week talking to a trainee solicitor at the firm. There were also 2 opportunities to network with other participants in the programme.
Yes
The programme was very well organised; the staff were very friendly; the sessions were interesting and informative.
When submitting your application, do not just write what you think they want to hear but be yourself. It was emphasised many time about how ultimately this is what they are looking for.
