It was a 4 day legal work experience which was conducted through a platform called Forage. It consisted of sessions ranging from street law, supervisors, careers, CV tips, court cases, legal drafting and statutory interpretation, commercial awareness, business responsibility and pro bono, and lease reports.
I learned a variety of skills from team working, networking, understanding legal terms and statutory interpretations. I also gained skills from debating and independent working!
This was a very organised and insightful work experience where the information for us as students were all provided. I enjoyed it because the experience gave us an honest and true insight to what it is like as a solicitor in a law firm.
Very organised and even though it was virtual, it was very interactive!
We learnt a lot during the panel discussions with current solicitors alongside how Pinsent Masons is a responsible firm and what it does to become more diverse and comply with ethical and moral values.
It indeed made me more willing to want to begin a career in Law
