IT Infrastructure Technician supporting staff and children with any IT-related problems. Also carrying out maintenance, repairs, and installations of new systems and technology.
I have learned many new skills since being here. Some of these include Problem Solving, Team Leadership, and Customer Service. All of these skills have allowed me to gain confidence and seek further job opportunities.
I really enjoyed both working and learning as part of the apprenticeship. I always had new and challenging projects as well as a wide range of responsibilities that I ensured I kept on top of.
Whilst the apprenticeship learning with the Growth Company was well organised, I found that I was often lacking work when at Ashford Oaks. This was due to the lack of work or tasks I had.
I receive lots of support from my employer and they always make sure that I am happy at work.
I always received lots of support from my training provider and I felt confident that my skills coach could always help me with any related problem I had.
It helps me perform better as most work I learned from the provider came up when at work. I learned good practices and took them into my workplace.
There are often many social activities that I like to take part in. Wellbeing is very important at the school and lots of events are setup.
