I had a very good time at PwC, I have learnt a lot of new information and audit key skills. Day to day I message clients for documents and then I run tests and verify the information is true and that the company can place reliance upon the information provided
Yes I have learnt a new skill. A new skill which I have learnt has been excel. I am now proficient in excel and really enjoy being productive and effective with my time for PwC. I have also developed my communication skills as I am trusted to now speak to clients
I really enjoyed my placement and cant wait for my next one in 2023. I will be returning to Manchester office, and believe that the city is a great fit for me. Also the manchester pwc office is amazing and I think the dress for your day policy is great
Very well organised. Sometimes I did not have a great deal of work to carry out but this was only because there was no available documents or planning stuff to do. When there was work I really enjoyed learning and engaging with my team. The course organiser was really helpful
I received a lot of support for example we had a number of support groups which include people manafers, buddies from the same university and are working in the same office as us but are in the year above, also we have FS champions who organise events for the new joiners
both my university and pwc have helped me towards my degree. We get weekly updates of exam information and also we are allowed to ask any questions regarding revision to tutors who are really good at getting back to us. I do not know of another organisation that could support me as much as they have
amazingly. The work is directly related to the theory we learn in lessons. This way I am able to use the information I learn and apply it directly to my day to day work for PWC. We work straight on client work and this means the ICAEW knowledge I have I can use
Yes in manchester there are loads of socials every month and lots of sports events. There are drinks at the end of each month, and lots of new joiners/leavers drink events and if you work a lot on one client you are invited to the debrief social with the team
Yes
It is a great company and I believe that there are lots of different ways to make a difference here. You can join a social team and get involved with the behind the scenes planning of the socials, alternatively the career path at pwc is great and I really think I will stay here longer
spend time learning the pwc professional framework as this really helps in interview process and spend time speaking to a mirror because as part of the application process you need to do a self interview where you are asked a prompt and expected to speak about it for 2 minutes into a camera, so this is great practice for confidence
