Worked as part of the audit team in the Banking & Capital Markets division at PwC. Tasks included using Aura and Excel in order to to test the reliability and accuracy of payroll, accounts receivable/payable etc, as well as general tasks such as keeping track of information needed from the client
Yes, I have become adept at using Excel and PwC's auditing platform - Aura. Furthermore, my time management skills have significantly improved as I was working at year-end where tasks had to be done promptly. I have also improved my interpersonal skills, becoming more confident in team meetings, speaking up when necessary
I have enjoyed the experience of working in London at a top firm. At times, it was challenging as I was working long hours, however on the whole it has been good. There are many perks to working at a big firm which I took full advantage of such as work socials etc.
It is very well organised on the whole. The teams I worked on understood my role and allocated me tasks accordingly. However, at the start of placement, we were not already assigned clients so the first day was wasted. Likewise, when switching clients, I feel as if the new team should be made aware as I did not know who the manager was and who to contact.
Received a lot of support from the senior associates on the team as they had recently been through a similar experience. Furthermore, the programme manager was very helpful, always ready to answer questions. At times, especially at the start, I would have benefitted more from coaching, however I understand this is difficult when everyone has their own responsibilities.

There were a number of socials I attended, including whole department ones as well as individual team ones. Furthermore, there were a number of networking calls and talks that were useful, as well as general opportunities around the office, such as department breakfasts. There are sports teams to join as well.
Yes
It is a global company that looks after its employees - there are a number of support mechanisms and work is assigned according to the role. We are treated as normal employees rather than just students on placement which is beneficial and will help us when we do join full time.
Research the values of PwC on their website, known as the PwC professional, and try to incorporate these into your interview answers. Ensure you can work well as a team and put their responsibilities above your own personal wants. This is particularly important in the assessment centre as you have to work in a group.
