Depending on if i am in the yard or the shop. In the yard I would serve customers for any yard material and provide them with a blue ticket to come into the counter. General yard tidying. Customer services. On the counter I would be serving anyone from the yard coming in, as well as any customers from the shop. Raising invoices, remoting orders, booking in stock.
Developed all skills within customer service role. Better time management as well as improved team building.
Somewhat, found some things to not be relevant to a first year apprentice, other than this i found the course very informative.
The structure of the ILP was good, I do feel however that there is no structure in place within the branch regarding apprentices.
I do receive a lot of support from my employer, both in regards to the apprenticeship as well as any issues i was facing outside of work.
A lot of support from training provider regarding the course. However I did find that as they had no branch experience and this did make some things a bit awkward.
I feel like the main takeaway is the product knowledge. The development on the system has definitely helped me to perform better in my role.
No extra-curricular activities ran from our branch. Nothing else locally.
Yes
Small branch is great, as I account for over 10% of the staff here I do feel valued.
It doesn't matter if you have knowledge in the field, Travis Perkins has helped me from the ground up.
