  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am a Team Leader. I do team briefs, all sorts of reports. Handovers. I work in Inventory Control department, we are responsible for all the stock that is in the warehouse, making sure everything is received, putawayed correctly. We interact with every single department on daily basis, to make sure everything goes smoothly.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I started working for wayfair as admin, then I became a coordinator on inbound, which included sorting all sorts of issues. But eventually I felt like there is no where to improve in this department, so I moved to IC. I learned so many new skills, like adjusting items, cycle counts, importance of DPMO

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am really happy that i enrolled, it really helps me to succeed in my role, providing with great tips and all sorts of techniques to improve myself. I really think that this program will help me to develop further and grow higher in this company. I am really happy.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It is very well organized, presentations we get are very clear and amazingly structured. Tasks are great as well, as they help us to actually use the knowledge we learned during the session, which leads to better remembering all of it. I really like the program and the whole structure of it.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive all the support I need from my employer. They are very understanding and supportive. I can work on my apprenticeship freely, whenever I have to, I am allowed to attend all of the sessions, no matter how busy we are. I feel like they truly care about our education

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive all the support from my training provider, he is amazing, always will answer all the questions I have, will always reply and help out even after the sessions. He delivers the sessions very clearly and will make sure that we got most of it and understood it perfectly.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I am hundred percent positive that this apprenticeship really helps me to succeed in my role. It helps me to look at people from different perspective, I found new ways how to approach people and how to help them to improve. I feel like I'm more motivated now and I motivate my team a lot more.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There is nothing that I am aware of. But every year we do wellness month, where we have an app and we are split in teams and we need to collect steps/km in exchange for points and then we get very good rewards. It helps people to get closer.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Wayfair to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Because it's a great company. A lot of development opportunities, people are very friendly and supportive. We are like one big family. They pay decent and work load is not that big. I really enjoy working here and not planning on leaving any time soon. I will try to pursue my career here


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Wayfair?
  • Be yourself. Take every opportunity that comes to you. There is a lot to learn here, so don't try to stick to one thing, try to learn as much as possible and don't be scared to apply for new jobs. Don't be afraid to ask people questions, everyone is really friendly and will help you out!
