My role as a Kitchen Designer involves meeting customers, surveying sites, creating designs, customer consultations and most importantly, sales.
Yes i have learnt how to design and sell kitchens.
5/10. It was fairly unorganised and i feel like i didn't learn much actually on the programme itself and more self taught along the way. However i found it has been a good way into the industry to get the experience needed.
5/10. There was no particular structure or knew when each part of the apprenticeship was going to take place and what is 100% needed to pass the course.
Travis Perkins allowed me the time to spend on the appretnticeship so they did support me in that way.
The Training provider tutor was always there to help with anything.
It has given me the qualification which i will take on with me for the rest of my career and potentially work my way up the company.

The local managers are really supportive of my career progression and i value that. I feel like i can speak up if i am not happy with anything and i know something will change after.
There are so many parts to the business so make sure you apply for the right job that suits you.
