My role is an apprentice project manager and day to day at the moment is managing a small section of a project, shadowing project managers & taking part in different responsibilities of a project manager
I have been at Mace for nearly 5 months and I have learnt a lot and developed many skills such as team working, leadership etc. This is from day to day work and the training sessions that Mace enroll apprentices in.
I am really enjoying the programme and it was great to join with a large cohort of other apprentices too as everyone was in the same boat when starting.
Sometimes training days can feel very long as there's multiple training sessions in one day, however uni work is sturctured clearly so you know what you need to do and the training sessions teach valuable skills.
A lot of support, manager is always available to answer questions
University is online so sometimes it may feel like there is no support, however there are regular check ins with someone form the university and module tutors are always happy to answer questions and they respond relatively quickly.
Helps me understand the context of whats happening day to day at work.
Networking events always arranged, social activities occur regularly and sports teams occasionally are.
Yes
Very supportive
Show you understand what Mace is looking for in the job that you applied for and how you can demonstrate the skills they're looking for. Also be up to date on Mace's values.
