Working as a Treasury Operations Analyst Apprentice consists of overseeing margin calls and confirming new deals. Furthermore, I look at interest rate swaps and cash currency swaps. Day-to-day responsibilities also include attending meetings and reconciling data.
I have developed my communication skills when having to reply to client queries and emails on the job. Also I have developed my excel skills and learnt lots of new information about the vital functions within a bank.
This programme not only has given me an insight into the working world and the professional environment but also is good for passionate individuals who enjoy problem solving and working hard. I am enjoying the opportunities within my programme and would highly recommend it to others.
I receive a high level of support from my employer. Colleagues around me are always happy to answer questions that I may have. Also Aldermore's HR team and The Growth Company work hard to ensure I am in a supportive environment.
I have received a good level of support so far. I am provided with a textbook and online learning platform. I would argue also that having the specific support of a tutor is very helpful and find the monthly meetings very useful.
My qualification helps me understand in more depth the jobs that I am doing everyday. For example, learning about options and interest rate swaps helps me when checking swaps at work.
There are different groups which can be joined. For example one group I have recently signed up for concerns women in the financial industry.
Yes
Aldermore has very supportive employees and sends out a positive message of backing more people to go for it in life and in business. This is an environment where I have been given the tools to grow my The growth Company and Aldermore itself.
Make sure to be yourself when applying and going through the interview process!
