I start my day at eight. Firstly, I count the floats with the money in and put them onto the counter. I then do the daily compliance reports - daily transactions, account payments, refunds and free of charges. Then I look through my emails to see if I need to reply to anyone.
When I first started had no idea about anything kitchen related so basically everything I have learnt from when I have started is a new skill. as well as learning the K8 system which was difficult at first but now makes a lot more sense. And developing along a further understanding of why paperwork is done.
I enjoy my programme because my tutor is helpful with any queries I have as well as explaining how the website that I use for my apprenticeship course work which is quite easy to use and my colleagues are helpful and supportive of each other and so is my manager.
My programme is organised really well and done in sections so it does not get messy or unorganised. Also it is clear whenever I am left feedback because it alerts you to it so I am able to correct it as soon as i can. Also the workbooks have textbooks which are helpful to get ideas from.
My employer gives me time during the week to be able to do any course work which needs completing as he believes it is important to keep on top of the work load and not leave things until the last minute. Otherwise our apprenticeship may finish before we have completed our course work.
My training provider helps give us any support I need like for example sending out the textbooks to go with the workbook so it supports what I am learning. He also gives helpful advise on how to work towards the final qualification and what will happen during my end point assessment.
My qualification helps go along side my role as it helps me keep learning while still working at the same time.
We have training which is done through teams calls to helps us improve in our job roles and this is provided even when we have full time job roles.
