My role is to compete any tasks assigned to me on a daily basis that includes changing pipework or pressure testing chemical vessels. I do this wearing the specified PPE and using the correct equipment according to the permit of the job that is signed off by a CPT.
I have learnt how to compete many tasks that are involved in the engineering sector overall as well as developing my English and maths when writing jobs reports as well as working in a team of fully qualified engineers all over plant.
I enjoy the programme at Syngenta very much as I get to experience the whole chemical side of engineering as well as the mechanical. All in a completely safe but enjoyable way.
The programme is very well structured once assigned the preferred college and college pathway. Everything on site is well thought out and I get to spend time in all the different plants on site.
I receive the ample amount of support especially with frequent meetings/catch-ups that allow me to express my thoughts and improve as a person and engineer.
My training provider does very well in connecting the learner and tutor when at work with monthly meeting to assess improvements and new objectives.
My qualification helps me to understand the importance and need for the engineering tasks I complete at work.
There are career events as well as syngenta events for the holidays like Christmas and careers events help build connections with others sim the engineering sector.
Yes
Syngenta is a great place to be with good money and incentives. It’s a great workplace to be in as you have lots of opportunities to progress in your career with lots of natural internal progressions in terms of jobs.
I would advise that you apply with an adequate CV and general experience and knowledge of engineering. Be up for the role and put effort into showing you are the best.
