My day-to-day job consists of doing renewals for clients, such as going through the renewal process on multiple clients at the same time. This could be creating documents to send to clients such as renewal reports, market presentations or invoicing. In my job i also do revision for any upcoming exams.
I have learnt lots of new skills in this job such as, communicating with colleagues, using different apps such as powerpoint and excell. I have been able to increase my use of these apps and learnt a lot more about them and how to use them in day to day job.
I thoroughly enjoy the programme that i am in because the people are really nice, they are helpful and always there to run through anything for 5 mins. It is nice because it means there is help everywhere around me so can get a question of mine answered as quickly as possible.
The programme is very structured and organised, in the sense that you have to have exams completed by a certain time before the next exam period starts. But it is also laid back because you can fall behind and be doing two exams at the same time if you keep failing it so it doesn't matter and is more laid back.
There is a lot of support received from my employers in a sense that they catch up regularly with me to see how i am if I'm struggling with anything and to help on any understanding of work that there may be. This is helpful because i am able to talk to someone on a regular basis.
i would say it is difficult to receive lots of support from them because you have to go through so many people to get an answer. You aren't allowed to email directly which is annoying, when you ask for help they want you to look through the information and websites provided to see if you can find it by yourself.
I don't think that this helps you in your job role, i have learnt everything from doing the job itself and my manager. This training provider teaches you things that you will barely use in your job but need to know for the exam, so i would say that that they don't help much with the performance of your role.
Yes there are many of these including gardening and wine clubs. There are many clubs but i haven't joined any of them as they aren't my cup of tea. I'm not sure when or where or how often they meet up as i have never been to one.
Yes
Willis towers watson is a good company to work for because it has nice helpful people working there and there is a lot of support there for you whenever you need it. It is also a well known company so can make lots of connections through it for the future.
You don't need a backround in insurance or have a-levels in financial subjects to be accepted, they accept many different people. It is a very friendly place to work and there are lots of opportunities there like going to the London office and many more. It is overall a nice place to work and there is lots of ways to progress in the job.
