My role as a Business Developer is that I drive in sales, upselling products. Making leads to pass projects onto designers, passing information onto others when needed and updating rep on accounts > Answering Phones > Paperwork > Customer Service > Stock Transfers > Daily Depot Invoices > 3 Text & Emails Weekly > 30+ Answered Calls A Day
I've never worked in the line of work before, so coming in to something I had no idea about other than customer service was tricky and way out of my comfort zone. However, I find this job very challenging as each day I'm learning new things such as: > Numbers, Digits > How To Use A Measuring Tape > What Makes A Whole Door Frame > Different Customer Base (Different Skill)
I enjoy my programme because although there is a lot of pressure on me, there is not as much pressure as there would be if I just came into Howdens with NO apprenticeship I would be panicking. Having the programme makes it a little less pressurising.
In the depot, couldn't be happier. However the programme I haven't had much help with in the last 2 months or so.. Trying to find the time on both ends can be hard. But it's manageable.
ALOT! [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions], is extremely willing to be supportive and patient with me. Someone who has anxiety and struggles with self belief. Having a manager like Harry is a easy breeze and he makes working here challenging but fun!
Not much contact in the last 2 month or so, but we are getting there.
To be honest, I've helped my performance. I've been here Monday to Friday and have pushed myself each day. Not the programme provider.
Not that I know of, however I'm not the type to put myself in those things.
Yes
I can only speak on my team, because they are all I know. But Howdens is genuinely a great company for many reasons, but here are mine: > Good Team > Great Management > Weekends Off > Holidays Paid > Good Income > Pensions > Friendships > Promotions > Great Opportunities
Don't doubt yourself, it may feel like you can't but YOU CAN!!
