My job role includes calling our whole customer base to get sales and to find out more info about the customer e.g. upcoming job and also some bits about their personal life to form a strong bond between us and that is what helps to build trust.
Yes
I enjoy every day so much. All of my colleagues are so friendly and supportive as well as the customers
Very well organised
I receive support whenever I need it
I feel like they try to support me however it doesn't feel too supportive
I don't think it helps me perform any differently, I feel as if I would perform slightly better without the training as the training doesn't tend to be about the actual work that I'm doing, instead it is about values which I already know so training just tends to be quite distracting
Every year, Howdens do a go karting event where you can meet other Howdens employees from other depots so it is really nice to meet every one else. We also all tend to go on nights out together from time to time which can be really fun and forms a stronger bond between the team
Yes
Because it is an amazing company to work for and there are so many different job roles and there is always something to do while you are at work to keep you busy
Always upsell, if a customer wants some skirting, sell them some gripfill. If a customer wants a door, sell them hinges and handles. A little bit extra added to a sale can go a long way
