I have learned many new skills while being at Howdens such as how to use K8. I have also helped my developed skills such as problem solving, listening ,customer service, telephone skills etc My listening, customer service and telephone skills all help when making phone calls to customers to try and encourage them to make a trade or open a new account.
I enjoy my programme very much , I enjoy the daily interactions with the customers both in the depot and on the phone, I also enjoy being involved in projects sigh as rearranging the counter and I enjoy learning skills and knowledge from other members of the depot and watching how they work
My porgramme is very well strucutured especcially on line, everything i need to find and answer is under sections which helps a lot with finding them and also wastes less time. The programme is very easy to follow there is no added stress and or pressure with deadlines being to close to when tasks had been assigned.
From my employer I receive a lot of support on a variety of different things like if help is needed while filling in my questions for my SVQ or in and around the depot such as when I am serving or with paperwork and anytime I ask for help I am more than supported when needed
I don't see my training providers much face to face but I do know if I have a question or needed help with anything i am able to email, text and or phone them and they are very good at getting back fast if I needed help with a question.
My qualification through JMB helps me in my roll as it encourages me to make sure anything that has been written or said stays true and ensures that everything that I have learned is useful.
