My role is to take the promotional campaigns that come through from the retail and trading teams, and translate them for our website. This includes briefing our digital design team and coordinating with our online merchandisers.
I have become more confident in my own abilities. I can trust my own judgment and use my voice in a more powerful way to influence my stakeholders.
My program gave me a solid base of marketing theory on which to build and apply in the real world.
I felt that organisation was the downfall, I found my provider didn’t keep in touch and that I had to chase them for a lot of information. I didn’t know who my main contact was there sometimes.
A lot of support was given to me by my manager. They were great at giving me time to learn and study. The organisation as a whole gives apprentices a great experience and I feel like they value what we’re doing.
I had a good mentor and she gave me support, outside of that there really wasn’t any from anyone else.
My qualification has given me a lot of confidence in myself. I have a better understanding of how to link all our marketing functions together and how to plan.
There were before covid, this seems to have declined a bit since then.
Yes
It’s a really supportive place to work. There are tonnes of opportunities and so many interesting roles I didn’t even know about before I started.
Be enthusiastic about the role, we appreciate when people show they’re excited to work for b&q. Show some passion and energy.
