As a Salesforce Degree Apprentice, working within IBM Consulting, I am currently working on a bp Project, around transforming their communications angle, whilst also transforming the project admin to generate better efficiency and doing resourcing for the project. Outside of IBM, I complete 8 hours per week on University learning.
Absolutely! Since starting my apprentice I have gained two Salesforce Certifications, I have got a badge in Agile thinking and received a first in my business university module. In terms of developing existing skills, I have strengthened my admin, project management and communications skills too.
I really enjoy it! Occasionally I do with there was more support for the future, and what to expect.
For the near future it is fairly well structured, however more than around 2/3 months I don't really know what I'll be doing.
I receive a lot of support from my employer, especially within my practice, they are really good and supportive of Degree Apprentices and the time we need to take of for university.
Less support, we only have 1 lecture every 3 weeks and they're usually only 30mins-1hour. I often have to clarify content they have uploaded as it isn't clear/it is incorrect.
I think it really helps me, even when I am learning things that don't instantly apply into my role, the time management skills and learning mind help me to perform better in my role nonetheless.
Yes, lots! Usually at least 1 kind of social a week (generally just drinks), and then maybe every month or so there is a slight larger event organised.
Yes
I really enjoy the culture of working here, everyone is so supportive and willing to help, therefore it is a really nice place and environment to be doing a degree apprenticeship.
Be yourself! If you act yourself and you get in, perfect! You'll love it here. If you don't get in, don't be disheartened as it may not be the best fit for you and you'll likely find something that suits you much better.
