Working in the contact centre helping people with their insurance queries. Helping people with their billing issues. I have also gained an underwriting licence. I got a day a week to focus on my studies and the apprenticeship was really interesting and helpful. I learned a lot about best practice.
I have developed my customer service skills, my ability to keep up with learning, my time keeping skills and the apprenticeship pushed me to begin showing analytical skills and leadership when new recruits came into the team. This has been valuable in my progression though out the company over time.
I really enjoyed the programme, the people in work and in the training provider were really helpful and understanding of everything. I loved the modules I completed and like I said, it's aided me in progressing in the company. It also really breaks up the day which is nice.
It was well structured so each module was building on the knowledge you had gained through out either previous weeks work or though out the week. It was a lot of reflecting which I found helpful to learn more about how and why I act the way I do. I think babbington were a good provider.
I gained a lot of support from my team coach and supervisors I had at the time as well as higher management allowing me to sit in with them to develop my skills and understanding of the business as a whole. Would highly recommend doing an apprenticeship with RSA in any office.
They were always there to help if I needed them
It helped me learn and reflect on new styles of service as well on how I can improve. The analysis I had to complete has helped me move into a role within controls which is a dream as I really enjoy what I am doing now and feel proud I can develop.
There are a lot of activities, they have vendors come in, charity days, parties, so many things
Yes
I think, whilst dealing with insurance is hard as well as it being a call centre enviroment I was in, management were always very supportive and kind. There is a lot of support for the apprenticeship as well as just if you need help with a call and the general vibe is positive.
It depends on the role, but for my customer service apprenticeship I would just say to be yourself and show that you like working with people
