  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My day to day job role consists of helping to assist the finance team with daily financial figures taken from the daily sales report. the daily sales reports takes into account the previous days sales split into unilevers 5 different catergories of ice cream, beauty and wellbeing, home care and etc.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have been lucky to pick up many skills from my time so far at unilever but would have to say personally the biggest skill i've been able to pick up is the ability to communicate well with both my team and the rest of the finance department members.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I do very much so enjoy the programme as i think its a good way to be able to both learn and earn at the same time. the time split between the learning and working is very fair and never does seem too draining and is always different every day.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is very well structured as it equates to one day of study to four days of working. However, if i need more time to focus on my study and i have free time in the working day unilever is very flexible to accommodate for this and is great.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • i receive a great deal of support from my employer as i am able to take of days to study if i have important assessments coming up. my manager is always there to help me and encourages me to share what i have been learning and working on in my study.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • i receive a lot of support from my training provider multiverse. they provided me and the rest of my class with a coach who books in time for a 1 to 1 session and also have boot camps which are the main learning aspect of the qualification with the rest of the class.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • i feel that working towards my qualification helps me a lot in my role as i would have not been able to deal as well as i have getting familiar with the terminology and the programmes without the pre learning i have had with multiverse in the boot camps so far.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • leatherhead unilever office always has events happening for example what i know of in the finance sector there are weekly run club for the keen runners and once a year finance encourages as many people at unilever as possible to partake in the great walk which is a run around london.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • unilever has been able to give me so many opportunities that i wouldn't have been able to have without them. i've gained so much knowledge in the finance sector and been able to help onboard last years recruits when i hosted a induction event the new IP students.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Unilever?
  • i would advise that you do some background research before applying i did that when i was applying which really impressed the interviewers. also good to always come prepared with some questions i would say at least three as then it will show that your keen to work for unilever
