  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • In 2022 I completed the L3 HR Support Apprenticeship and I have just begun the L5 HR Consultant Partner Apprenticeship. Both Apprenticeships have broadened and consolidated my HR skills. I have gained confidence in my work as I no longer feel that I am driven by instinct and instead my opinions are qualified by my experience.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer provides support by allowing time to complete the off-the-job time requirement. They also assign work that will compliment my learning, for example with the project selected for my End Point Assessment. My employer is also available to me for any queries that I may have with assignments and general advice.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The training provider appoints a Skills Coach (Learning Development Coach) to support your journey, both with the CIPD qualification and the Apprenticeship requirements. My LDC (with L3) would often highlight relevant and interesting articles for me to read, enquire about my work load and mental load outside of the Apprenticeship and support with planning for the End Point Assessment.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification brings me confidence in my decision making skills and emboldens me to share my thoughts. I contribute to the team that I am working with. I now feel that I have the theory to back up my experience and consolidate both into a career as an HR professional.

  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I have found RSA to be a fair and caring company with an adult-to-adult approach in people management. They embrace a learning culture and there are many pathways to career development. RSA encourages authenticity and welcomes diversity. The reward and benefits offered are great. They offer a great combination of the opportunities that working for a large employer provide with the care of a family company.
