I am an apprentice within the treasury of the bank, I currently work in funding and liquidity which manages the banks a balance sheet and ensures we have enough funding to continue lending to our customers and enough liquidity to pay back any liabilities.
Yes, I have definitely learnt and developed my technical skills such as using excel and problem solving etc, but have also developed skills such as collaboration and presenting.
I really enjoy my programme as we rotate every 6 months so we are constantly learning and are never in a role for too long that we find we are not progressing.
My programme is fairly well organised, we are the first cohort in our location however things are running smoohtly.
We receive lots of support, we have a line manager, a cohort manager and an external talent manager from our training provider, we are provided with oppertunities to learn and develop and are supported along the way.
We receive lots of support and have regular meetings as we have to complete coursework and progress reviews in order to achieve our qualification.
I think my qualification will help me understand the technical skills of the whole industry rather than just my role in particular but it can help me understand the current financial environment which can then be implemented into my role.
I am currently on the events team at work which organises the events for my floor and is great for networking also.
Yes
Because Lloyds is a very inclusive and culture driven company, it has employees best interests at heart and have provided me with numerous opportunities to develop.
Definitely look into Lloyds as well as our values and company culture to get a feel for the company and the working environment, see if the company goals and initiatives align with your own and if you would genuinely enjoy working here.
