My role in store is a deputy manager training to be a store manager. This involves managing a team, delivering sales and standards and working towards KPI’s daily. Being in the apprentice scheme has really helped me have a different view on what being a store manager looks like in terms of different behaviours.
I have learnt new methods of coaching since being on the scheme. This has really helped me develop my management skills as having those different methods can help me coach and guide the team. It has also allowed me to take a step back and really delve into each team members personal needs as to how to coach
I thoroughly enjoy doing the program as it has not only developed me as a manger but also as a person I have a different view on daily things and can approach/solve them accordingly. My lifetime trainer is also a very big help and is very supportive in what is needed for me to complete
I believe the programme is very well structured, the new system is particularly great as it has a structured time frame and enables you to see progress and entertain all evidence, off the job hours ect all on one form. I would recommend Aptem to many people to use as a program.
My employer is very supportive in terms of anything I need any time I need to complete or any information I would need to complete a task is given to me upon request, however as a suggestion I do believe more time should be devoted to the program from the employer
[This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] is a great help and is always going out of her way to support me in everything I need. Wether that be work related or home life related I can always speak to her and get the support I need from her.
I believe the program really has helped me develop as a person which in turn helps me become a better manager. I have full understandings of different circumstances and different methods to approach different issues, I have also learnt to delegate more tasks and manage with taking a step back as opposed to completing the task my self.
We don’t currently have any activities to attend.
Yes
I would recommend Iceland to a friend because I feel that as a company they treat staff as a family and are very family oriented. As a mother of a young child I am always looked after in terms of my rotas well in advance to assist with child care ect. They also like to promote great workers l.
If you would like to progress in your career Iceland is definitely the company to do it with.
