  • I work in Global Research in the marketing team which means that I am involved in sending analyst reports to client. I also help create presentation decks when Executive directors have a presention

  • I have developed my professional skills very quickly with the help of my line manager. Coming from a school environment into a corporate environment its very important to pick up these skills. I have developed my time-management and communications skills and learnt the importance of taking accountability for my work

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I do enjoy it but it can be challenging managing studying and working and the balance is not something you find immediately. Once you do find that balance, it is a lot more enjoyable as you're not constantly stressed

  • I think the degree side of things is structured well in terms of the course structure and what is covered

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • UBS is great at supporting us - they treat us like employees and line managers are completely supportive of the fact that working and studying is challenging. They take an active interest in what we are studying and are willing to give their time to talk with you

  • They do teach you the content but it is really down to you to spend time learning and going over it. It is more like self study

  • Definitely gives you better understanding of the industry that you are working in

  • I have taken part in one of the charity initiatives and I am part of the Young professionals network

  • Yes

  • Great environment to work in, lots of opportunities to get involved with things external to your work and as a young person you have a huge head start in your career


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to UBS?
  • Focus on skills you have developed from what you are currently doing. Be yourself, show you are willing to learn and speak passionately about what you are currently doing
