My role involves speaking with counterparts and managing the relationship with our vendor partners, I would be there point of contact and they would be mine. This involves interacting on a daily basis to make sure everything is running smoothly, keeping each other up to date on any changes in the business and managing marketing money and events.
I have developed my presentation skills and communication skills. By presenting often to my manager, I can not only practise my presentation making but also presenting. I have found that I improve every time I do another presentation and I gain more confidence in myself. It is a skill I wish to continue practising and improving.
I enjoy my programme a lot as I am able to learn and gain new skills whilst getting experience in a major IT company. It gives me the chance to meet lots of new people in a range of positions in the company which is interesting to learn about the opportunities I could potentially take.
Pretty well structured and organised. I have my study days planned out every week and I have my training courses sent out to me months in advance with pre-reading and presentations to go through prior to our training course. Also I find that if i'm struggling with something or something is not clear, I know who to ask/talk to.
My employer is very helpful and support me in every aspect. Whenever I have asked for help I receive it quickly and I am always being set tasks and meeting which will help me develop and improve. I also feel comfortable to talk to my colleagues about personal problems I may be having and they would give me support
My training provider is very helpful and gives me feedback in order to improve my projects. He always makes sure I am on time with tasks and documenting everything I can for my off the job time sheets, in order to get the best overall outcome. I am always able to contact my training coach if I have any questions.
I believe the training courses that I do, provides me with skills and techniques that I can apply to not only my role but to my general workplace development. It helps me when interacting with partners, as we learn how to properly engage with customers and partners and how to use techniques surrounding that.
There are sports teams to get involved with - for example there is charity football matches to sign up for. There is also volunteering to sign up for where you can help out at apprenticeship evenings. We also have a scheme where you can volunteer to be a mentor for a young child in secondary school, and give them weekly sessions to support their learning.
Yes
Because I think it is an amazing company to work for. You can gain experience and meet so many new people whilst having fun. It is a great way to be able to see and try different departments and teams within the business. When I first started every body made me feel so welcome, and that is why I love it so much.
To be yourself, ask questions and take lots of notes. It can be overwhelming joining a new business but every body is here to welcome you, so don't hold back on questions - the more the better as this is the best way to understand what your learning. And lastly have fun
