As i work on referrals i can provide you with how that goes. when a vunerable person has gined a residance out of a refuge some are in fear of males or just prefer females in their home. this can be to do anything from basic decor to plastering walls and ceilings laying floors building furniture. and some times just having an open ear and no judgement working with lovely people
over the last 3 years ive taken and completed successfully 12 different courses from scs, smsts, to plastering to make sure i am providing not only affordable labour but also a high sandard of work they can see nd be proud of
from the start i was an enthusiastic student and was supported through my studies by my fantastic tutor [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] who was himself a master plasterer and a fantastic teacher, with helpful techiques that you can only get from working in this trade
very well organised and works around your current obligations ,work family ect
as i say i work more referals so i will say 100 percent as they are sending the referals
not only did i get support i also got recognistion as student of the year that has helped me move my plans forward an helped me on my path the achieve my overall plans
As i started the course with only dad experience of plastering and odd jobs id done ie small holes .gaining the skills that came with the qaulifaction were more detrimental to me and for that I have to thank paul as the entirety of my time doing plastering it turned out the arm ache was to do with how i was holdng and spreading the mix so without the course id have been causing myself long term issues but putting that aside to continue to help these women in need.
