I work in the E commerce team as a digital operations manager. My main role is looking after our parcel partners Ensuring that the service our stores provide is fir for purpose and making and resolving any changes as necessary. I liase with store and field operations teams and take feedback as required
During my role and apprenticeship I have learnt many new skills specifically project management, project governance and how to review and manage the financial requirements of a small and large scale project. This has given me the opportunity to meet and liase with so many different teams within my organisations and in wider e commerce
I really enjoy the programme. It gives me the opportunity to step away from my day job and focus on my studying needs. The programme works very well alongside the sort of projects that I am working on currently with the coop and therfore gives me good practical experience and knowledge
The programme feels very well structured with many different elements to it. I enjoy that it's self study but we have peers and colleagues that we can work alongside on the programme. We have regular study catch u9s and can join varying sessions. However the onus is on ourselves to succeed
I have received so much support from my employer. My line manager is very supportive and gives of his time. The wider team are really proud to have colleague studying for an apprenticeship on their team. Of course their is a real benefit to my employer as I am gaining valuable skills and knowledge on this course
I have received lots of support and training from my training provider. At the start it was slightly difficult to make sense of what I had to do and my training partner was there at every step to answer any questions provide any support and guide me in the correct direction at all times
This is the biggest and most valuable part of this course. The course is directly aligned to what I have to do on a daily basis and therefore my projects become examples on this course and conversely this course helps guide how I progress the varying projects that I am working on at work currently
Yes our team runs lits of extra curricular activities. There is team day, evening social events on a regular basis, catch up Fridays and an encouragement for the team to work really well together and get to know each other out of work. We have done bowling, escape rooms, axe throwing and many other actvities
Yes
The organisation tally lives and breathes the values it has at its core. It is a really great community organisation that has given me great flexibility at work and provided so much variety. You as an employee have acçess to everyone within the organisation and people support your career at all times
Best advice when applying for work at the coop is to do ad much research ad possible. Understand the role you are applying for, understand the industry you are looking at what in. Talk to current colleagues about what it is like working at the coop. Try and find a current colleague to really understand 2hat the culture of the organisational ndbthe benefits of working I the organisation really are .
