I work for a government account providing a service level role within a third line support environment. Here we deal with incidents and solve issues for the client to ensure the systems are running as aspected. Fixes may include code changes or technical improvements or bugs, improvements could be found.
Yes there has been a vast amount I have learnt in my role. This includes new software proficiency alongside programs I have new used before. Working alongside a team has helped me to do this. i have also developed soft skills when speaking to my colleagues, managers and colleagues alike.
I enjoy the experiences and challenges of being part of an apprenticeship. working and learning comes with challenges but it is certainly rewarding to do both. I enjoy the variety of work and how every day is different to others. This helps me keep work and course fresh at all times.
The programme is organised fairly well. Sometimes things can be a bit delayed with knowing module timings and schedule however in general there is a structure and communication is sent out to us as students which is good. I also like how the course is part time which allows for the work life study balance.
Employer is extremely supportive and provides lots of resources and time and effort to ensure I am doing well and achieving my potential. I had an incident where I required surgery and the employer and course provider was the most supportive and I can not thank them enough. Thank you

My training provider has regular tripartite meetings to ensure I am on track and have resources to address any issues I may have. They also get the employer involved if necessary. Alongside this they have regular meetings with student reps which allow the student voices to be heard and issues to be addressed.
Yes although I am not yet part of the social or extra curricular activities. I have had regular information about social days, sport teams and events that is available. It allows time to get away from studies and I appreciate the support, the facilities provided to me to ensure I can have again variety and enjoy my apprenticeship experience.
Yes
The company is a huge organisation with lots of avenues to go into. The opportunities here are endless and the training, development and support is second to none. I have regular pay reviews and am able to voice my opinion. They do not look down at apprentices and if anything value us.
I would ensure I understand the company, the different avenues and values. Also to be confident and to be yourself. There is a big thing about being yourself in the environment which is nice and allows people not to put on a front. Also to have enthusiasm and be ready for challenges.
