I assist students in lessons, attend regular meetings and CPD training and also run my own interventions with students who have the highest needs or as part of their EHCP need extra help. I work with students to improve their independence within lessons and circulate the classroom and work with teachers to ensure students reach their top potential.
I have learnt many new skills. I have been lucky to have been given so many CPD training courses like aboit British values, safeguarding, health and safety. They have all contributed to my knowledge and how I can implement this into my work on a day to day basis. I have also grown in confidence tremendously.
It was a great programme, I had constant help from the LMP team as well as my employer. Assignments were a great way to gain more knowledge and to portray what I have been learning into words and into formal conversations with my tutor. It has been a great experience.
I believe it is well structured. From the offset of meeting your tutor, to then the assignment work and then having regular meetings and reviews always ensured you was being listened to and you had a place to voice any concerns if you had any. The end point assessment can be quite daunting but it is a great experience to have.
My employer gives so much support. A question is never too silly to ask and the communication has been absolutely amazing. They are always checking in to make sure I am OK and not too overwhelmed which really helps when the job can be stressful at times so the support has been fantastic.
The support is never ending. There is always someone on hand to answer questions or emails about anything and the open door policy has been fantastic. The reviews are a great way to talk to your tutor about anything you may have concerns about and things are helped with straight away.
The many training and recommendations for online training have been a great way to learn constantly throughout the apprenticeship. I can show what I have learnt into my daily job role and it makes me be the better me in my employment. The support has really helped show myself how hard I can work.
At my work there are many activities to get involved in. The school gym is open to staff after the school has shut for students. We have a football team that play every Friday and is mixed abilities and plays against other teaching staff and regular quizzes are held by staff members.

The communication between myself and staff at LMP is a big reason I would recommend it. A question is never to silly and the staff are always wanting you to achieve the best you can which is really motivating. The company offer really useful training and CPD training which helps throughout the apprenticeship.
I would recommend just doing it. No matter what age, gender etc just try it. It's an amazing experience and one I will never forget. Support is absolutely amazing and you always feel validated and valued. It's like being part of a team all of the time and everyone supports each other.
