  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I have received a lot of support from my employer, I have weekly one to ones with my manager to go over how everything is going both in my role and my apprenticeship. I know exactly who to contact and my employer is very approachable and friendly so talking to them is no problem. We have also been given the correct equipment to do our job such as a laptop, monitor and any hardware required.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I have received enough support from my training provider, they are very easy to contact and to talk to. We have monthly one to ones to go over the work and any problems I may have encountered such as if I am struggling on a task sheet they are very easy to communicate with and they are very clear.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel like this qualification helps me to perform better within my role. For example one of the task sheets and virtual workshops were all about effective communication and I have learnt a lot about the different forms of communication and how to do it effective and clearly. Another task sheet was about our business this was good as it allowed me to have a better insight on the company that I am working for.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes there are many events going on. Within my organisation there is a group called FreshMinds, they are always organising events for us apprentices to get together this could be anything from a meal out or a game of football. This is good as it allows me to use my skills such as communication and become more confident.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Computacenter to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend Compuacenter as an employee as they are an organisation that care for their employees and want to see us success not only just for the business but also become more confident within yourself and develop your own skills such as networking. Everyone that I have met so far has been very helpful, friendly and generous.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Computacenter?
  • My advise would be to attend any events that are running, for example recently Computacenter had an open evening for apprentices where you could ask any questions you may have but more importantly start networking, getting to know the business and the people that work here as well as getting your name out.
