I am in a project management role within the Networks Services area of BT. This involves delivering projects for live TV and sporting events, ensuring connectivity from the grounds to viewers at home.
Team and communication skills is a massive part of my role and has definitely developed since joining in 2019. I have also learned how to balance my work load, with managing both operational work day-to-day alongside my university assignments.
Very much enjoy my programme due to the brilliant apprentice network that is present at BT.
My programme is organised with set days aside to carry out university work, allowing me to plan ahead of assignment deadlines.
BT is extremely supportive of their apprentices, as we are surrounded by industry experts who are always willing to provide extra support.
Support depends on the module we are working towards due to our module lectures changing each time.
We have carried out modules at university that directly align with my role (e.g. project management) and so this has been beneficial in developing my knowledge.
Yes there are many. The apprentice network itself is very social and often take part in apprentice events such as careers fairs or networking events.
