  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role develops as time goes on and I have currently been doing more simpler tasks, primarily administrative activities as well as being given the responsibility of handling monthly financials with the client, drafting and submitting invoices with the use of internal company systems, I deal with vetting and onboarding.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed my presentation skills somewhat but could definitely improve there more. This job has however significantly improved my communication and collaboration skills as I have to work in teams quite regularly. Additionally, I have leant a range of new technical skills as well as advanced my i knowledge in excel

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy this programme quite a bit. I enjoy the benefits of a 9-5 salary but I realise that it is a lot to handle, but with the level of support Capgemini provides, it is a highly manageable as people will always be willing to help. It has great social aspects,

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It is organised okay, the training provider Aston however is a lot more unstructured in comparison. They attempt to but it’s hard as it seems quite unorganised and there is high level of confusion amongst the cohort. Capgemini’s side of things is a lot better but communication and training can be improved.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • There is wide variety of different support from the employer on almost all aspects of the job from my employer, from mental health to simple confusion on how to do your job, they understand we are apprentices and will not know much and are always happy to help.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • There is a some support from Aston but the help is not always relevant to what we need. Many people including myself feel very lost with the content and hard to follow as supporting resources could be improved to be more user friendly. Many skills coaches also do not know much about what is meant to be done.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It provides a deep foundation of knowledge in sone business aspects but also provides you advanced skills on how to work with financials and on the importance of soft skills in the modern workplace. They could improve by understanding each of our workplaces are different so maybe standardise certain aspects of the qualification.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes quite a lot, there’s always events going on and many initiatives and communities to get involved in. There is networks you can join and learn more about different things. There’s our charity partner, The Princes Trust that you can get involved with too with many fundraising events that occur.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Supportive and people-focused place that provide as much help as you need and they are very focused on helping employees reach their potential. The people are all nice and there is a lot of opportunities and flexibility with role and progression. Flexible working, their attitude to hybrid working and the values.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Capgemini?
  • Don’t worry too much about your grades and trying to know everything about the role and job. They care a lot more about the kind of person you are and appreciate if you are someone willing to learn. You must show potential and a willingness to develop and grow
