I am part of the DevOps team where I take part in weekly sprint meetings. In sprint meetings we discuss how to implement new changes to the platform.
I have gained theoretical and practical knowledge of different technologies and applications we use which align with my apprenticeship programme.
I enjoy my programme as my team is very supportive and involve me. The apprenticeship programme is well structured and instructors keep in touch. I would find it more helpful if there was further guidance or classroom sessions
My programme is structured well but I would have found it more beneficial if I was provided with relevant learning materials earlier on. I understand that this is to help apprentices settle in and pace ourselves.
I receive a lot of support form my employer and manager.
I receive regular feedback from my training provider
I have not had any classroom sessions as of completing this survey and would have found it more helpful if I was scheduled for training earlier on to help me understand the core concepts of my job role better and become accustomed to some of the commonly used terms and jargon
There are social activities and volunteering as a team opportunities.
Yes
It is a great supportive environment to work in that puts value in the employees.
I would advise to prepare well and underpin the concepts of the critical people capabilities highlighted in the NatWest careers page as NatWest really values that the work we carry out is guided by them.
