Currently I'm deployed in the risk renewal team. My job is to renew contracts for current PwC Clients, I have to go over contracts with Engagement Managers and action any feedback.
The main skill that I am learning to develop is my time management skill as balancing my full time job alongside completing my degree can be overwhelming.
So far I am really enjoying my time at Pwc. I have met loads of great friends through the programme and have realised personal points for approval.
So far the programme is very structured from a work side of things. However the Uni course that comes along with it is lacking useful information that helps us within our job roles.
My support within the Firm has been sensational, since joining the firm I have been appointed a team leader, a career coach and a buddy. All of which have been very welcoming and are easily approached. Also everyone within my team is happy to help with any problems.
So far Ulster has been hit or miss on support to the students completing the programme. Certain Lecturers are really accommodating to the students and it comes across as they really care for us. On the other hand some of the lecturers come across as if they don't care or have time for us.
This isn't the best to be honest as the degree and you role at PwC don't really align.
Pwc is excellent for this, they have events on every week and there is many different ways to network and meet new people.
