Running a shift, helping to delegate tasks to other crew on the shift. Making sure that our customers receive great service. As a shift manager we ensure that we are walking food costs and also watching that all food safety is been followed and checked on shift. As a shift manager a lot of admin work is also involved to ensure our staff are been paid and and all issues are been logged.
I have been learning about the different type of management styles there is, and by making small changes in yourself, this can I help you run a better shift. I’ve also been learning about recruitment and helping to keep our current employees. Happy and return them and also the cost of recruitment.
I have been using current McDonald’s training, which has given me a better insight into how the business is run, and also the learning providers. Learning modules have also helped me understand things better, but may have not been provided by McDonald’s. This will give me better skills and other opportunities outside of McDonald’s.
I have found that my program is well structured and organised. We are currently doing webinars and these are helping me understand the business better. We are giving the exact date each month when these webinars Willbe and also the website that we use also tells me if I am on track on my current program.
My current franchisee, and McDonald’s have been very helpful with the apprenticeship panel, supported me by providing me with a laptop. I am also given time on shift to learn new things that can help towards my on the job training. I’m also given time during the week to do my apprenticeship tasks. I am also giving hic chats by my employer to ensure I am finding the apprenticeship program helpful, and if I got any concerns I can raise it then
My training provider has been given me support every month we have been having how was it going meetings over video chat. I am also able to raise concerns of problems. I have that I’m not work related and I’m finding it very helpful. They are constantly staying in contact with me and I helping me with the program
The qualification that I will receive from the provider will help me better perform in my current role and will also help me with promotion inside the franchise I work for. It’s also giving me better knowledge and understanding that I did not have before and I’m hoping to put these tasks and knowledge I have learnt into practice on shift to help me run about a shift and to better understand the business
McDonald’s run different football teams in different regions from McDonald’s employees. We also have social activities where we would go out with fans on nights out with work colleagues. We also helped raise money for the Ronald McDonald house charities and I am currently planning to do a key Britain clean program at a local beach
Yes
I feel with the public. Sometimes McDonald’s has a stigma that people do not understand, but I believe McDonald’s gives people live skills and opportunities that other companies do not give people McDonald’s has more than just making burgers and fries at go to life skills, understanding and better knowledge to help whatever you wish to do in the future and McDonald’s always support your goals
When applying or working at McDonald’s, you have to be outgoing you have to be friendly. Sometimes it does have a stigma, but this is false. McDonald’s is a very friendly and enjoyable place to work. They are very supportive with availability on the play is actually more the national minimum wage
