My role is a crew member. On a day-to-day basis i must take part in the running of the store. Whether this is in the kitchen, on front or on lobby. I help keep the store running and sometimes run a station or an area when its busy. I also take part in training activities which help boost my knowledge of the buisness.
I have learn multiple new skills and also added onto already exisitng skills. For example, i have learnt how to properly clean the bathrooms, which seems to come in handy in my day to day life. Developing on a skill i already had learnt prior, how to adapt myself into a team working group.
I enjoy my apprentiship programme as it allows me to develop my knowledge and skills within my business, also allowing me to understand the company's advertisement and branding.
The programme i follow is well planned out and helps me understand what needs to be done and when. It also clearly shows how many hours of Of The Job Training i have left to complete. It also allows me to plan around with my management team time required and time spent on a certain course.
I have received a high amount of support from dedicated apprentice days to little messages from my line manager prompting me to keep on top of my course work and other side tasks like Of The Job Training. Overall, the management team in my store has allowed me to come off the floor when they are overstaffed to complete upcoming work.
I receive a huge amount of support from my lifetime coach [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions], from asking him questions and him responding in a simple response. Also he has helped me pick up in areas where my knowledge has been lacking like going over a certain topic I was unsure about when completing none face-to-face work.
I believe that my qualification achieved via my training provider allows me to progress through the ranks as i would have a greater knowledge of advertisement and the business's strategies discussed via my course work
There are crew events that are funded by the company which includes an activity and time off of work as a whole store. It is funded by CSAT recognitions and allows the store to come together in a social activity and spend time away from work.
Yes
I think McDonalds has been, to me, inclusive and has allowed me to create a new friend group. It has also allowed me to expand my knowledge of the real world and allows for me to have a start in a stable enviroment.
Just be yourself, thats what the company looks for, individuals who can be themselves and act how they are as a person.
