I am responsible for monitoring the success of each shift and the daily management of my team. I concentrate and create targets that I will communicate across my team in order to reach McDonalds desired goals and outcomes of daily figures. I provide training and feedback and ensure my team are happy.
Yes, the apprenticeship has really helped me to build on my previous responsibilities and gain insight to new ones that has allowed me to do a better job especially in my new role of assistant manager. I am a great deal more confident when dealing with everyday management jobs such as the customer experience and finance.
I really did enjoy the programme and would recommend the programme to anyone else who wants to gain more knowledge and experiences in order to complete their job role better each day, although it was challenging it made it all the more worth while when it was over . I am happy to have been given the opportunity.
The apprenticeship was organised however I did find that working alongside my role at mcdonalds was tricky, I wasn't given the time/support I needed from my store to complete tasks or assessments, however the apprenticeship staff were more than helpful and ensured I was supported throughout my journey with them.
The apprenticeship was a brilliant experience and I am incredibly grateful to been given the experience, however my overall thoughts of my employer during this time weren't as good. I wasn't given the time to complete tasks and I feel I wasn't supported during my time with learning alongside them.
All the staff that assisted me were very kind and helpful, I had two trainers that were both lovely and helped me keep up to date with deadlines and extra tasks to assist my learning. I also was able to contact another member of staff that assisted me with extra knowledge regarding my exams which was very useful.
Greatly! I am a great deal more confident than I ever was and feel I can support my team and manage them better. I am more confident with communicating to my team and enjoy getting more involved in team builder exercises. Understanding finance better also allows me to complete my role better and strive towards the companies targets
Yes there are quite a few offered throughout the year, these include football tournaments, RMHC fundraising events such as bake and teddy sales, litter walks for our community, crew days out to rewards hard work and teamwork. I was involved in a 5k mud run a few years back to raise money for RMHC.

Because you gain so much knowledge that'll help you with almost any career from amazing people skills to building your knowledge of the latest trends and technology. Although it is very fast-paced and sometimes very stressful, this overall helps you to become more experienced in your role and better communicate with each other.
McDonalds can be a very fast paced job depending on where you are based. The role itself can be incredible stressful as there are so many different jobs and responsibilities per shift, however don't let this put you off. Once you settle in it all becomes a gain deal easier and will really build your knowledge of the hospitality industry.
