My role is a business administrator consists of daily tasks such as leasing with clients of the LAAN (London apprenticeship ambassador network) and adding information to our business plan. We would set up meetings to external clients and create a fortnightly newsletter with that information. and the projects we would get involved in would promoting apprenticeships through that
the tasks that i complete allow me to work on my independence skills as i work on my own projects. my daily interactions helped me with communication skills with those external and internally. and the responsibility has allowed me to work both on those skills mentioned at once which is amazing.
I love my programme. its allowed me to network like no the job i had before. meeting the external clients has allowed me to be invited to large events which wasn't possible at my other jobs. the college programme is amazing as well, my coach is really amazing and communicates with me really well.
very well organised, I'm able to get on with college and work at the same time. plus my company has explained off the job really well which has given me confidence to work as hard as possible when needed to without hustle. this has been a great combination between college and work.
I get a lot of support from my employer they were very understanding that i was a new apprentice and they gradually gave me information so I didn't feel overwhelmed while learning in my new role. i would ask for constant task which could be worked on but my role requires me to do a lot of independent work.
I would say the support has been amazing. they have been very responsive when I needed help and would make meeting calls to discuss any problems I had. The system they use has been amazing and easy to use which has allowed me to get on with work quick and efficient.
I would say some tasks ask us to learn about our organisation which has helped in my role when doing marketing for my organisation. It has helped me a lot with learning how to time manage and has taught me ways to becoming more efficient with my work. this has been amazing.
i play county cricket and play club level boxing which are my main sporting activities. I have attended social events from my company like certain workshops and events with the department of education. these events allow me to learn more about apprenticeships and how it is all funded by the DfE.
Yes
The company is amazing, They have been nothing but wonderful and insightful people. these includes my group and the engineers around us have all been welcoming ever since I joined. They have won multiple awards and its apparent why, they have been amazing to me and other apprentices at the organisation.
don't be afraid! they are the most wonderful people I have met. Even within a working environment, they are very understanding and actually allow you to learn while you work which has been the best thing in terms of apprentices getting that learning in while not feeling overwhelmed. this has been beneficial for my learning and development as an apprentice.
