  • To support individuals in a person centred way to live their lives as independently as possible. Supporting with medication and on occasions personal care. Empowering them to try new activities whilst keeping them safe. Administration relating to the individuals, the staff team I.e training and personnel development. Ensuring all aspects are updated.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • The course is being completely whilst working full time, it’s useful to have existing skills and knowledge updated. This confirms the skills are being used efficiently and correctly giving peace of mind that the work being performed is in line with current legislation and expectations.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Studying whilst having the pressure of working full time is not enjoyable. It often means a lot of extra time being spent outside of the workplace leading to a poor work life balance. The content of the course is general and perhaps for those in the sector, who’ve been in the job for some years, it can be repetitive.

  • The programme was straightforward but tutor changes and learning how to study the current way was problematic.

  • Due to my workplace going through a period of change I completed the course independently

  • My tutors were very helpful but unfortunately I didn’t get the opportunity to get to know them properly as I had 3 in one year

  • It has been a refresher rather than a learning experience.

  • There maybe but I don’t get time outside my working hours

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • The course material was relatively simple to follow and the tutors were helpful and friendly. I feel it would be more beneficial to an individual earlier in their career


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Seeability?
  • Ensure the learner is able to study with the modern technology and language
