My role involves overseeing the team on that shift, supervising and allocating work as well as managing my department. I also open and close the store, and I am responsible for my own KPI's.
A lot of the stuff I learnt I already knew, so it helped consolidate my learning and also find new ways of working too.
At first I found my programme frustrating because I felt I wasn't stretched enough, but I was able to find a rhythm of completing the work.
It could probably do with more structure and check ins at the start, but once this was addressed, it became more structured.
My employer gives me enough agency to work independently and to empower me to control my own learning progress. However, if I needed support, it would be provided.
At first, I felt I wasn't getting much support, but this has now changed since previously discussing this with them.
For my role, not as much. But if you were still working as a customer shop floor assistant, it would be helpful.
I was able to visit our RCC warehouse in Swindon, where I got to learn about operations
