I help create events for Channel 4 and 4Sales which is team within C4, I view venues, research area/hotels, I book travel requirements. I help decide what creativity / elements we will bring to the event. I speak to a lot of talent agents.
Yes I have learnt many new skills, I know a lot about the tv/digital industry, I have gained powerful communication skills through speaking to suppliers and other staff members and occasionally C4 Talent. I have worked a lot on time management.
I love my programme, the team are great, everyone at C4 is super friendly and supportive. My apprenticeship supplier JGA have been great at supporting me through the programme and offering me additional needs for my dyslexia.
Its very well structured, we get a few hours every month where are teacher goes through a whole PowerPoint with us and we get to talk about work and what we are doing. We then get set some work to complete and its always a great time gap between so we have plenty of time to complete this.
So much support, my team are so supportive and helpful. They have taught me so much and have been very patient with areas I struggle more with. I feel really confident in my role and feel I can ask questions openly.
A lot of support , they check in often and I have monthly catch ups to discuss my needs with dyslexia and addiotnal support is always offered if I need it.
I feel I can really take useful information form my modules and apply them to the workplace, we often get set tasks to do this which really helps.
Yes at C4 there's a lot of opportunity, for example I got to be an extra in one of the film4 productions. We have ERG networks for mental health, Women empowerment, LGBTQ+ and many more. We often have summer and Xmas party's and many clubs such as running / signing . Lastly Learning week at work !
Yes
Its a great environment to be in, the people are extremely kind an helpful, you can really make some great friends at the work place. There is also many addiotnal activities to get involved with!
I would tell others to be themselves, bring great energy and share your ideas ! Research Channel 4 and the remit and think about how you align yourself with Channel 4 and why you want to work here!
