On a day-to-day basis, I update one of our biggest fleet customers with their vehicles progress, I also scan documents on to our portal system, email customers, book customer vehicles in for services and load defects. I also assist my colleagues with estimates.
I have developed my administration and communication skills since I started working in Motus Commercials. I have become more confident when dealing with customer queries and solving any problems for them. It has helped me progress and continue to progress further.
I enjoy the programme, as it allows me to learn new things and progress my skills. It is good having my skills coach helping me also as it gives me the extra support I need and when I ask for help I am always given the support I need. I have enjoyed being able to use my skills and abilities to create and complete work tasks.
At the beginning of my programme I felt it was quite unorganised due to not having the correct skills coach appointed to me, it took a little bit of time to get someone assigned to me. Once someone was assigned to me the programme has since ran smoothly. I was however informed that my apprenticeship was going to be finishing a year early, although this caused a little stress I am still enjoying the programme.
My employer has been very supportive throughout my apprenticeship programme, anytime I have asked for the support from my managers or colleagues they have always given me the support and more. They are always keen to know how I am progressing and keep up to date with me and my completion of tasks.
I receive a lot of support from my training provider, if I contact them they usually get back to me within a couple of hours or within the day. They support me when we have teams meetings, we go through the work I have still to complete and I am supported with any questions I have and get support on the run up to completion dates.
Having the qualification helps me when it comes to dealing with customers and their queries, it allows me to ensure that I am supporting the customer to the best of my ability and giving them correct information. It allows me to excel in my administration skills, helps me to produce emails to the full potential and allows me to produce the best spreadsheets/ updates for customers.
We have a variety of extra-curricular activities to get involved in at my place of work. We have dress down days, charity days, bake sales, fancy dress days and monthly prizes which can be won by all colleagues.
Yes
I would highly recommend Motus Commercials to a friend whether that be for reception staff, service advisors, mechanics, apprenticeships etc. They are a very reliable company to work for, very supportive in everything, nothing is ever too much for them to provide the support. They are a very welcoming company and nothing is ever an issue.
Positive thinking is key, prepared to take on responsibilities, must be a team player but also carry out tasks on their own accord.
