Really wonderful experience. Mentors assisted you with every stress and worry. Smooth process with excellent online systems and easy to navigate submissions. Course was informative and seriously improved my day to day knowledge at work. Wouldn’t have got distinctions without the help of my mentor, [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions]. Definitely recommend it!
I have learnt different leadership techniques and ways to supervise my colleagues that are both beneficial to me and to them. I learnt lots about different foods and drinks and product services. I also greatly developed my customers service skills and improved how I handle complaints and issues in the workplace.
I greatly enjoyed the programme and looked forward to our regular meetings. I found the work engaging and interesting. I knew that everything I was learn was relevant to me and was going to aid me in my every day work. Overall an enjoyable and easy process made even better by great staff.
Clear and concise structure, you know when things need to be done and what to aim for. Lots of extra things and worksheets provided to help you reach your goal. Mentors aid you in completing the project within the allotted time but place no harsh pressure on you and let you do things at your own pace.
The support from Greene King and my GM in this process was second to none. Helped me to fulfill the requirements of my apprenticeship whilst maintaining full working hours with little disruption. The apprenticeship is easily integrated into your regular working day. They put a lot of importance on practical work.
As previously said, the mentors are excellent. They are kind, supportive and friendly. It feels as though you always have someone on your side throughout the course. My mentor, [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions], made things 10x easier and explained things I didn’t understand. He also helped me to expand on my own ideas for my project. 10/10 for mentorship!
Much better. I have improved greatly since the start of my course. I find myself more knowledgable and more confident when conversing with customers. I can recommend, handle complaints and alter my leadership style to fit different situations. Completely relevant to your day to day routine. it helped beyond belief.
Yes, we often arrange get together as a company and have many hobby clubs and activities run in the pub throughout the week. These include games night, pool team and salsa dancing. We are also a very community based pub and get on spectacularly with the regular customers so they are often involved.
Yes
Great work benefits, relatively good pay, supportive management and lots of room to improve and develop. Lots of opportunities to climb the ladder as they are big on internally promoting. Greene King have great values that I connect with personally and they provide a wonderful 33% discount for all staff.
Be willing to put in the effort to get yourself noticed because, if you do, you are likely to be promoted and find yourself in great positions with good opportunities. They care a lot about their existing staff and, if you do the work, they will do everything to keep you.
