this involves doing various tax consulting work and working in various teams. this allows me to get a wide experience into the various different taxes. i provide ad-hoc consulting and advice to a variety of clients from individuals to companies from inside the UK to global companies that have offices all around the world.
i have learnt many new skills. i believe the biggest one that i have learnt is professional scepticism which allows me to analyse different clients and individuals and the tax returns and information that they send us. i can now look at the differences between clients to ensure that no one is acting improperly.
i love the program as it has allowed me to meet so many different people from all around the world and from different backgrounds. it has also allowed me to learn about different skills that people have which is teaching me many different skills which i can use in and out of the workplace.
the programme is well structured and it allows me to have a proper work life balance which is very enjoyable. it also allows me to have a large amount of help from any tutors when i need and i can reach out to anyone at any time. its a great structure
i receive a lot of support with monthly and weekly check ins which are enjoyable and allow us to share any feedback that we have. it is really helpful as well to allow us to speak to each other to share any experiences which we have had to ensure that we get the best guidance from everyone
i receive a lot of support in multiple different ways. there are trianing programs and multiple study spaces and they also give us days which we can take of to allow us to revise and learn in a quiet workspace which is extremely helpful for the way in which i learn
i believe it helps me understand my role better. it allows me to understand the type of behaviours which i would expect in the workplace and the type of outfits to wear and language to use in emails. it also allows me to grasp concepts better through the studying aspect.
there are a few sports teams such as netball, football, volleyball etc but i do not really get involved with them. i love networking thugh and take the time to get to meet other people in the team and from other teams to leqarn about the vairous teams that are within tax.
Yes
i believe it is an amazing place to work which allows every individual to be themselves. they always listen to all the advice and feedback that all members of the team have. i am proud to work for price waterhouse coopers and i love the way that the staff are treated.
i would say the biggest advice is to be yourself. you have to be honest when applying and filling in applications and all PwC LLP want you to do is be comfortable at the firm so if they believe you are a correct fit then they will welcome you with open arms.
